Job Description
We are seeking an Engineering Manager who is passionate about leading teams, delivering impactful solutions, and fostering a collaborative culture. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in startup-like environments, embraces SaaS and low-code/no-code platforms, and enjoys working closely with product and technology partners to drive business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership: Lead and support a team of engineers delivering scalable, secure, and business-aligned solutions. Provide coaching, feedback, and growth opportunities for team members.
Delivery Excellence: Ensure high-quality execution of engineering projects with a focus on speed, reliability, and customer impact.
Platform Adoption: Support the use of SaaS and low-code/no-code platforms to accelerate delivery and reduce custom development.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with product managers, architects, and other technology leaders to align priorities and ensure successful delivery.
Technical Oversight: Promote sound engineering practices within the team and support strong design and implementation in collaboration with architects.
Agile Delivery: Facilitate sprint ceremonies, ensure backlog health, remove obstacles, and help the team continuously improve.
Culture Building: Create a collaborative, innovative, and purpose-driven team environment.
Qualifications
7+ years of experience in software engineering, with 3+ years in engineering management.
Proven track record in software development with exposure to modern cloud-native and traditional programming languages (e.g., TypeScript, Python, Go).
Experience leading teams in fast-paced, agile environments.
Strong knowledge of architecture patterns (modular design, SOLID principles, micro-frontends, Microservices etc.).
Understanding of cloud-native architectures and modern development practices.
Exposure to GenAI, SaaS platforms, and low-code/no-code tools.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with modernizing legacy systems and integrating with modern platforms.
Exposure to serverless technologies, distributed systems, or DevOps practices.
Experience in media, entertainment, or digital platforms is a plus.
Understanding of startup or growth-stage environments.

Location: New York City, NY or Englewood Cliffs, NJ - (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)
