Job Description
CNBC is seeking a dynamic, externally focused Senior Manager of Strategic Partnerships to drive the growth of our partnership ecosystem. This is a high-visibility, "front-of-the-funnel" role dedicated to identifying untapped market opportunities and initiating the outreach necessary to bring new partners into the CNBC portfolio.
This role will focus on representing CNBC’s brand to external partners, crafting executive presentations necessary to build consensus and supporting partnership negotiations.
You will act as a brand ambassador, proactively pitching CNBC’s value proposition to market leaders in financial services, technology, investment content and more.
The successful candidate can work across multiple priorities, is able to translate complex partnership discussions into executive presentations and build consensus within a matrixed organization to move deals forward.
Key Responsibilities
Outbound Prospecting & Lead Generation: In partnership with Versant BD, proactively identify and initiate contact with potential partners. You will be responsible for building an outbound list of targets across Fintech, Financial Services, Business News, Investment Content, CTV, and digital media landscapes, moving them from initial cold outreach to initial discussions.
Strategic Opportunity Assessment: In collaboration with Versant BD, vet outbound leads through rigorous due diligence. You will determine the viability of new ventures by building ROI models and financial forecasts to ensure alignment with CNBC’s revenue and brand goals.
External Market Presentation: Support representing CNBC in the marketplace as they engage in high-level discussions with external stakeholders. You will represent CNBC at industry events and in direct outreach, articulating our unique value proposition to secure interest from key decision-makers at target organizations.
Partnership Management: Partner with team and Versant BD to navigate the partnership lifecyle. You will support the process from initial outreach phase through to due diligence, commercial negotiations and launch.
Executive Storytelling and Pitch Design: Design and build compelling executive presentations. You must be able to synthesize complex market data and deal structures into visually compelling, persuasive “pitch decks” tailored specifically to C-suite audiences, both internal and external.
Internal Consensus Building: Act as a bridge between the external market feedback and internal requirements. Support in navigating CNBC’s matrixed organization to secure buy-in from CNBC stakeholders across Finance, Legal, Standards, Editorial, Product etc. for new initiatives.
Trend Forecasting and Market Intelligence: Stay informed on the evolving media landscape (e.g. CTV, streaming, subscriptions, FAST) as well as the investment landscape (e.g. Fintech, prediction markets etc.) to proactively identify partnership opportunities.

This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, and a variety of other discounts and perks. Salary range: $115,000-$135,000

Qualifications
Experience: 6+ years of experience in business development, corporate strategy, or strategic partnerships within media, finance, or technology. A proven track record of supporting deals is essential.
Expert Storytelling: Exceptional ability to build executive-level presentations (PowerPoint/Keynote/Google Slides) that are both visually professional and strategically sound.
Negotiation Skills: Strong experience in external-facing roles with the ability to navigate complex contract negotiations and commercial terms.
Analytical Rigor: Ability to build ROI models and business cases to justify new partnership investments to the C-suite.
Presence: A high degree of professional "polish" and the confidence to present to and influence executive-level stakeholders, both internally and externally.
Education: MBA highly preferred, but not required
