Job Description

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Golf Engineering team, you will own and evolve front-end applications that power our identity platforms, ensuring they are scalable, consistent, and integration-ready. This is a senior individual contributor role with strong technical ownership.

You will partner closely with backend engineers, QA engineers, and product partners to translate direction into clear technical execution and high-quality delivery. You’ll contribute to architectural discussions, refine requirements into actionable plans, and help drive clarity across systems and teams.

Why This Role Matters
This role strengthens the quality, consistency, and scalability of front-end applications that support identity platforms across our ecosystem. By improving technical clarity and cross-functional execution, you will help increase development efficiency, reduce rework, and deliver more reliable, seamless user experiences.

Work Environment
This is a fully remote role (U.S. only). While day-to-day work is remote, we encourage periodic in-person collaboration opportunities (~10%) for team connection, planning, and alignment when feasible. On-call support may be required occasionally, though it is currently minimal.

Qualifications

What You’ll Do

  • Own and evolve front-end applications supporting identity platforms, with a focus on scalability, usability, and integration readiness
  • Translate product and engineering direction into clear technical approaches, refined requirements, and well-defined JIRA tickets that reduce ambiguity
  • Provide technical guidance to front-end developers to promote consistency, improve code quality, and reduce defects
  • Partner cross-functionally with backend and QA teams to deliver reliable, end-to-end solutions aligned with broader system architecture
  • Identify and drive improvements across front-end architecture, patterns, tooling, and workflows to support long-term maintainability
  • Bring structure and accountability to execution by organizing priorities, sequencing work effectively, and driving work through completion

What You Bring

  • Strong experience building modern front-end applications using Vue.js, Nuxt.js, and Vite
  • Experience with state management (e.g., Pinia) and unit testing frameworks
  • Experience working in collaborative development environments using GitHub and JIRA
  • Strong understanding of front-end architecture, design patterns, and integration with backend services and QA workflows
  • Ability to translate high-level direction into clear, actionable technical work with minimal ambiguity
  • Systems thinking mindset with the ability to engage beyond the UI layer in complex environments
  • Highly organized and accountable approach, balancing flexibility with strong follow-through
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across engineering, QA, product, and cross-functional teams

Bonus Points

  • Experience with Tailwind CSS, Flowbite, and SASS
  • Experience with Vitest and ESLint
  • Experience with Datadog and Pino
  • Familiarity with Node.js, TypeScript, Docker, and ECS

How We Do It

  • Trust: You take ownership of your work, follow through on commitments, and uphold high standards of quality and accountability
  • Teamwork: You collaborate effectively across engineering, QA, product, and adjacent teams to deliver shared outcomes
  • Transparency: You communicate clearly about requirements, decisions, risks, and progress to keep work aligned and reduce confusion
  • Agility: You adapt to evolving priorities while maintaining focus, organization, and forward momentum
  • Entrepreneurial Spirit: You proactively identify opportunities to improve systems, processes, and user experiences for the future

Why You’ll Love It Here

  • Own meaningful front-end systems that support critical identity platforms and cross-team integrations
  • Work in a highly collaborative environment where engineering, QA, and product partnership are central to success
  • Fully remote flexibility within the U.S., with opportunities for in-person connection and collaboration
  • Minimal on-call expectations, supporting strong work-life balance
