Job Description

CNBC Select is seeking a talented Associate Producer to create and post engaging text, graphics and videos across social platforms and to assist with on-site art demands.

CNBC Select is a shoppable-commerce vertical of CNBC, devoted to personal finance advice and product recommendations. The Associate Producer will work closely with the Audience Development Editor to produce and distribute content aimed at growing audience and engagement across CNBC.com/select, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X/Twitter, Bluesky, TikTok, Threads and emerging platforms.

The ideal candidate will have experience executing social strategy, creating compelling social video and graphics, and tracking engagement metrics to optimize content. This position requires impeccable spelling and grammar, a deep understanding of social media trends and what works on each platform, vertical video editing skills, the ability to capture well-composed videos on a phone, Photoshop experience, and passion for business news and personal finance stories. A standout candidate would also come equipped with photo editing experience and ideas on how to differentiate art across CNBC Select. Being comfortable in front of the camera is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities of the Associate Producer may include, but are not limited to:

  • Work with Select’s Audience Development editor and the site’s Editorial Director to develop and execute social strategy across the brand’s social channels
  • Work with edit team to execute on-site art requests and photo needs
  • Creation and execution of daily posts, ensuring engagement across social channels
  • Create highly shareable multi-media stories to grow audience engagement
  • Develop, enhance and maintain relationships with editorial talent and the wider CNBC social team

This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks. Salary range: $65,000-$75,000

Qualifications

 

  • Demonstrable experience in social media editing
  • Must possess the ability to edit and write accurately in a high-volume, deadline-oriented environment
  • Organizational skills, attention to detail, and outstanding communication skills
  • Previous experience or demonstrated interest in social media writing, producing, editing and strategy across platforms
  • Passion for digital storytelling and creating the best user experience online, with proven experience in a creative environment
  • Familiarity and comfort with digital news and social media trends
  • Adobe Creative Suite experience — Photoshop and Premiere, in particular

Desired Characteristics:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience at a large online content destination, such as a major online news site or financial newspaper
  • Ongoing knowledge of and interest in the business world and financial news is preferred
