Job Description

Skills & Attributes 

  1.  Strong technical skill (minimum 10 years relevant working experience as technical specialist) on IBM product particularly WebSphere MQ, WebSphere Message Broker, WebSphere Transformation Extender (WTX), and WebSphere Datapower
  2. Technical experience in Integration tools (webMethods / WebSphere / J2EE server), protocols (web service, JMS, MQ) and Java programming language 
  3. Written & Spoken communication; technical specification documentation 
  4. Familiar with IBM Integration Bus Solution for SWIFT FIN Messaging (IA0T) and the SWIFT FIN MT standards
  5. Able to support integration tools on AIX, Linux, Solaris, Windows, z/OS operating system platforms

Nice to have

  1. Enterprise Application Integration knowledge & experience
  2. Experience with or exposure to IBM lab or R&D 
  3. Experience in working in Banking / Financial system organisation
  4. Extensive knowledge of XML related standards and technologies, Java, ESB middleware like WebMethods Integration Suite, IBM data Power, Message Queues frameworks, Business Process modeling/orchestration (BPM). 
  5. Familiarity with Enterprise Architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or Zachman; modeling techniques, such as BPM, UML, ER, etc. 
  6. Other programming languages (C / C# / C++, etc.)


Key Responsibilities 

  • Participate in integration development projects. Provide reliable and scalable integration solutions to meet business requirements. Understanding of the function within an integration architecture  
  • Design and support integration services that are scalability, secure, high performance, and reliable 
  • Provides technical leadership within the integration team to facilitate and coordinate current and future efforts that involve integration design 
  • Coordinate with product vendors to provide product update, bug fixes and best practises
  • Perform impact analysis and assess the relevance of new fix-packs and recommendations
  • Establish and manage design standards and best practices. Provide support and mentorship to engineers in all aspects of technical integration, standards, and best practices 
  • Work with network admin, server admin, and application development & support teams to indentify and remediate integration issues in QA, development, staging, and production environments. 
  • Conduct code reviews and design walkthroughs 
  • Actively gather statistics from production systems to increase efficiency, improve reliability, and minimize downtime
  • Support enterprise wide EA management processes, defining and maintaining integration architecture standards
  • Keep abreast of interface standards used in the industry & within SCB
  • Work with Project Managers, Business Analysts and Business users to drive out technical requirements
  • Evaluation of alternate products/technology where applicable
  • Documentation of technical solution & architecture.
