About the Role:
Vermilion’s Digital Marketing Manager is the wingman to the Digital Marketing Director. This highly visible and collaborative role (both internally and with clients) is responsible for coordinating and executing integrated marketing campaigns and tactics for various clients and verticals. They will participate in agency brainstorm sessions to help craft digital strategies across paid campaigns (social channels and emerging digital ad networks) and unpaid content marketing strategies. This is not a community manager role; however, based on audience development and recommendations, this role will suggest tactics, tone, and best practices to the client community management teams.
Working alongside the Digital Marketing Director, Google Ads Specialist and Account Managers, the Digital Marketing Manager will help ensure successful tactical delivery of campaign objectives for a variety of clients and accounts. They will also be responsible for monitoring paid daily spend to ensure tracking and proper pacing to reach budgeted targets. There is an additional opportunity to work with eCommerce clients on Amazon storefront optimizations and implementation of Amazon Post and Amazon advertising strategies.
We are looking for a team member that is comfortable suggesting optimizations, testing opportunities or actions to improve campaign goals. As a result of the close working relationship with the Digital Marketing Director, we expect the Digital Marketing Manager to provide critical analysis of paid marketing efforts and synthesize the results of campaign tactics, A/B tests, and client KPIs. From a technical responsibilities perspective, they will serve as a second line of defense to ensure campaigns have proper UTM tracking enabled and coordinate the implementation of Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics.
Ideally you have a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience working at a creative agency with 3-5 years in digital marketing, social media, and audience development. You are passionate about discovering “the why” behind audience digital behavior and have a desire to work on emerging digital platforms and networks.
Working independently is not intimidating and you can easily find ways to craft personal goals based on your current projects. With the expectation you’re simultaneously working on multiple high priority accounts and projects, an ability to learn new systems quickly and maintain a positive attitude is key to success in this position.
We are a creative agency and with that comes creative collaboration. You are someone that is willing to contribute to client brainstorming sessions and not afraid to throw out that “wacky” idea. As a relatively small team, it’s imperative that each member is willing to troubleshoot any issues that may arise rather than simply pass them off to another person. Strong communication, both internally and externally, is important as you will be a highly visible member of this team.
We are also looking for someone with experience/skills in the following areas:
Understanding of Google Analytics and social listening tools
Experience and working knowledge of Google Ads, and paid promotion on Facebook/Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, Pinterest
Familiarity with Amazon storefronts and the advertising opportunities within the eCommerce platform
Experience implementing tracking pixels and Google Tag Manager
Ability to troubleshoot basic HTML
