Job Description

• Ability to learn and adapt to continuously changing technology.
• Demonstrated experience with N-tiered applications, multi-tier architecture, and production Internet architectures.
• Excellent understanding of object-oriented design concepts and software development processes and methods.
• Superior organization skills, skilled at recognizing priorities and keeping a team focused most important features.
• Must have passion for development and latest technologies.
• Leadership and ability to guide design and technical meetings.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• 5+ years of proven experience in software development and system maintenance.
• Experienced at developing elegant-yet-simple systems using best practices and design patterns.
• Proficient experience and understanding in the following technologies:

Guidewire Certification, preferably PolicyCenter v10/ClaimCenter v10

• Working knowledge of PolicyCenter system/ClaimCenter system
• Java Version 8
• Webservices Database design/SQL
• XML/JSON
• SOAP and Rest Webservices
• Tomcat
• AWS Architecture and Components a plus:

EC2

Lambda

• Strong foundation in Java is essential. This includes understanding object-oriented programming concepts, Java collections framework, working with APIs, and debugging techniques.
• Java EE: Familiarity with Java Enterprise Edition (JEE) concepts like servlets, JSPs, and EJBs are a plus, especially working with integrations or custom web applications within Guidewire.
• Knowledge of SQL for querying databases used by Guidewire.
