Job Description
Day-to-day:
Collaborates with data analytics team to approve modeling work and make product-driven decisions.
Supports product timelines, meetings, tasks, and deadlines.
Presents high-level product information to senior leadership and external vendors.
Produces hit/fill rate, accuracy, and comparison analyses on data in Excel for customers and other team members.
Recommends changes, catches errors, innovates new additions, and makes informed recommendations concerning small commercial products.
Works independently or with other team members to research, gather, and interpret data on customers’ behaviors before, during, and after product usage.
Assists other team members as needed.
You will have a chance to work on projects like:
Continuous enhancements of rating bases models released in 2024 (Verisk proprietary – Lightspeed Exposure Models) estimating sales, employee count, and payroll for small commercial businesses.
Development of quantitative score designed to predict profitability of small commercial BOP policies to assist in the straight-through processing of small commercial underwriting.
Coordination with external vendors/clients to acquire needed data for products or secure developmental partnerships.
Expansion of industry exposure models (with team members) using AI and text/image analytics for hazard/exposure detection in various business industries
“Art of the Possible” collaboration with carrier to showcase the accuracy and breadth of our data and models.
Qualifications
A bachelor's degree in computer science, business administration, information systems or a related discipline
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Fluent English – B2/C1 is required
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Willingness to learn and work on own initiatives
