About the Role

We’re looking for an ambitious and driven Sr. Director, Integrated Marketing ready to apply their expertise in marketing strategy and execution for a marketing team within a fast-paced publicly traded company. You’ll have a proven track record in developing and executing multi-channel marketing campaigns and coordinating key stakeholders across solutions/products to meet revenue goals. In addition, you’ll exhibit a deep understanding of markets and customers to influence product roadmaps and lead go-to-market strategy for successful solution and product launches.

The Sr. Director, Integrated Marketing will define the target audiences, marketing strategy, and product positioning strategy for the Core Lines business unit. You’ll be working with a group of accomplished high-level professionals while deepening your knowledge and skills with an ever-expanding breadth of projects.  You’ll also apply your talent in communicating the value of Verisk solutions to key audiences for key categories through collaboration and relationship-building with colleagues and clients.

Responsibilities

  • Market & Competitive Intelligence – Identify customer, market and competitive insight needs and initiate research with key stakeholders.  Leverage insights to drive marketing and product strategy.
  • Client Journey – Leverage compelling customer insights from research and third-party data in the development of target personas, buyer needs and the purchasing decision process for product or solutions, including key buyer roles.
  • (Product) Strategy – Identify market/customer needs and define the market opportunity for new features and solutions through demonstrated knowledge of audience and market as well as business unit goals.
  • Marketing Strategy – Develop multi-channels marketing campaigns based on client insights and audience profiles to deliver on business objectives.  Lead go-to-market strategy and planning for new feature and solutions launches.
  • Messaging & Positioning - Develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates our Core Lines solutions in the market.
  • Sales enablement – Write or solicit authoritative reports to educate the market on key issues facing the market.  Partner with Sales leadership to identify marketing support needed to advance sales pipeline opportunities.
  • Campaign Development – Develop strategy and clearly articulate business priorities/vision to launch innovative, integrated, and multimedia campaigns, including email marketing, digital content, web landing pages, online advertising, podcasts, video, advertising, social media, etc.
  • Marketing Analytics - Deliver actionable marketing analytics with insights and recommendations to BU leadership to ultimately drive decision making.
  • Thought Leader - Serve as internal and market-facing SME/thought leader for the product/solution category and target audience to inform business decisions.
  • Team-Building/Development – Identify critical marketing needs to drive business unit performance and coach/development direct reports to consistently demonstrate core strategic marketing skills.

Qualifications

  • BA in marketing, communications, or related field.  MBA preferred.
  • 10 to 15 years of strategic marketing and/or marketing/product management experience
  • Demonstrated success with developing marketing strategy and getting key stakeholder alignment across multiple channels.
  • Proven track record of leveraging customer, market and competitive to inform marketing and product strategy decisions.
  • Clear understanding of the digital marketing landscape: marketing automation; demand generation; personalization; sales enablement/effectiveness; attribution reporting; campaign management.
  • Skilled at leveraging customer and market insights to inform product and marketing strategy decisions.
  • Successful track record in building and developing high-performing product marketing teams
  • Successful track-record of cross-functional collaboration with teams, contributors, and stakeholders across multiple seniority levels.
  • Proven ability to gain executive level alignment on key strategies to drive aligned business outcomes.
  • Data-driven and results-oriented, with a perspective on how to measure and evaluate metrics for pre- and post-product launch.  Define and implement metrics to measure the impact of marketing efforts on business outcomes.
  • Ability to rapidly prioritize and react to changing business needs and external market dynamics.
