Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Law School Student to assist in various tasks in relation to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), as well as to Contract Law. The selected candidate will be responsible for performing a one-off update of various tasks.

About the Day to Day Responsibilities of the Role

  • Assist in review of Processing Register: Thoroughly examine the existing processing register to understand its structure, content, and compliance with GDPR requirements.
  • Update Processing Register: Utilize your knowledge of GDPR and contract law to ensure that all relevant processing activities and data flows are accurately documented in the new register. This includes verifying data processing activities, purposes, legal bases, recipients, and any cross-border data transfers.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with relevant stakeholders, including the legal and compliance teams, to gather necessary information and ensure alignment with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Quality Assurance: Review and validate the updated processing register to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with GDPR requirements.
  • Documentation: Prepare detailed documentation outlining the rationale behind updates, any challenges encountered, and recommendations for ongoing maintenance of the processing register.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a law school program with a focus on data protection, privacy law, or related field.
  • Strong understanding of GDPR principles and requirements, particularly Article 30 relating to records of processing activities.
  • Familiarity with contract law principles and their application to data processing agreements.
  • Interest in personal data management and compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret legal requirements and translate them into practical solutions.
  • Detail-oriented approach with a commitment to accuracy and thoroughness in documentation.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Required: Fluent in Swedish and English

Note: This position is a temporary role focused on a specific project. It offers an excellent opportunity for a law school student to gain practical experience in GDPR compliance and data protection management within a multinational organizational group company.
