Job Description

We are looking for a Distributed Energy Storage Research Analyst to join Wood Mackenzie’s Power & Renewables team in the United States. The research analyst will join the growing energy storage team, helping track the market and build insights for our clients. The analyst will be responsible for market research on the U.S. distributed energy storage market, including residential, commercial, and community-scale energy storage.

The analyst in this role will be responsible delivering key data and insights used to shape market strategy for Wood Mackenzie’s clients, including:

·       Forecasting the future growth of the US distributed energy storage market through Wood Mackenzie’s flagship US Distributed Energy Sector Market Outlook

·       Reporting on the health of the US distributed energy sector in collaboration with American Clean Power via the Energy Storage Monitor report

·       Tracking US distributed energy storage deployments

·       Gathering data and insights from industry contacts and publicly available data sources for use in other ad-hoc research publications

·       Serving as a subject matter expert on the commercial and residential energy storage space in the United States.

Additional responsibilities include addressing customer inquiries pertaining to distributed energy storage, building new relationships within the storage industry, identifying new sources of data, developing new research processes and research publications, and speaking at conferences and media about Wood Mackenzie’s views on the market.

You will work with the Head of Energy Storage while collaborating with the global Energy Storage team, and also with Wood Mackenzie’s Solar and Grid Edge teams when appropriate, to ensure the timely and accurate provision of relevant data and insight.

  • An undergraduate degree is required. Prior work experience with energy storage or renewable energy is preferred
