Position Overview 

We are looking for an experienced DevOps engineer with a background in cloud operations and infrastructure automation to join our high performing engineering organization. As part of our DevOps team, you will use tools such as Ansible and Terraform to build, manage, monitor and scale our Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure as we grow. You will both participate with our team and lead initiatives to build new and improve existing infrastructure. 

Qualifications

Must-Have Qualifications 

  • 5+ years working in a DevOps role within a SaaS environment 

  • Significant experience managing and working with Linux-based systems 

  • Significant experience building, scaling, and operating services on AWS 

  • Experience using Ansible, Chef or similar, modern configuration management tools to automate the configuration of servers / virtual machines 

  • Experience building and provisioning infrastructure using Terraform 

  • Experience in building Continuous Integration / Deployment pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Gitlab CI, Bamboo, or Rundeck 

  • Experience participating in on-call rotations and leading the resolution of production-affecting incidents during business and off business hours 

  • Experience as an Agile team member (Scrum/Kanban) and being Agile/Lean 

Nice to Have Qualifications (if you do not have them, we will teach you!) 

  • Experience using containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes for application development 

  • Experience automating virtual machine build processes using Packer
