Job Description
We are looking for an experienced, entrepreneurial, results-oriented Business Development Executive to join our growing Commercial team. At 3E, we are on a mission to establish a safer world! In this position, you have a exciting opportunity to learn Environmental Health and Safety industry standards (“EHS”), master new product offerings, and help companies meet complex regulatory compliance requirements.
What You'll Do:
- Oversee the end-to-end sales process in an assigned territory and grow our market presence with new client acquisition and cross-selling opportunities within the existing client base:
- Initiate sales discussions and develop relationships through direct calling/emailing and lead follow up.
- Schedule and facilitate sales meetings: understand potential client’s business goals and connect product benefits/ capabilities as part of on-site and online presentations. Partner with Sales Engineers and Consultants to articulate highly targeted business proposals and manage product trials.
- Create compelling business proposals and negotiate commercial terms.
- Develop a deep understanding of global regulatory landscape, and effectively communicate industry trends and challenges to current and prospective clients.
- Collaborate with Marketing team on creating targeted campaign messages.
- Partner with Account Management team to ensure successful new client onboarding/hand-off, along with other client-facing teams (e.g., Implementation, Enablement, Authoring teams) as well as account growth by identifying and actively pursuing cross-sell opportunities.
- Influence our product roadmap by sharing client feedback with our Commercial leaders and Product teams.
- Document sales activity and proactively manage pipeline details in Salesforce.com.
Qualifications
- 4-5 years of direct complex sales experience. A background in the chemical regulatory solutions, supply chain or IT systems sales, or EH&S industry is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree required. A degree in chemistry, environmental policy, chemical engineering, EH&S, or related business field preferred.
Language Requirements: Fluent in English, in addition to either German and/or French required.
Travel Requirements: ~5 days of travel per month
