Job Description

As a Technical Project Manager, you play a critical role within the Technology group. Working closely with a team of Technical Project Managers, you are responsible for owning technical workstreams initiatives. Your responsibilities include project management, independent technical research, creating business cases, managing and coordinating stakeholder relationships, product ownership, and managing external software contractor relationships. In this position, you will gain exposure to a wide variety of challenges and exciting opportunities. Expect to contribute directly to the project anywhere from 5 - 20% of your time. No two days are ever the same.

 

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of relevant software engineering experience or equivalent professional experience with technical projects
  • Breadth of technical expertise so that you can create your own independent technical proposals on a variety of topics such as cloud services, application frameworks, databases, architecture, etc.
  • Understanding of the fundamentals of design patterns and testing best practices
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills
  • Willing to discuss obstacles, find creative solutions, and take initiative
  • Willing to take ownership of entire projects and previous leadership experience
  • Ability to identify and proactively engage with stakeholders depending on the context
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt based on business and technical needs
  • Ability to thrive in environments with a lack of formal structure and a high degree of ambiguity
  • Comfortable in a team with a high degree of autonomy
  • Ability to both independently initiate and research projects and implement solutions as part of a cross-collaborative team
  • Eagerness to receive and give both constructive and positive feedback
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field
