Job Description

3E is looking for Director for the Sales Development Team to join our growing organization. 

We would prefer this position to be based near one of our US office locations in Carlsbad, CA; Canton, OH, or Bethesda, MD.  We would also consider fully remote candidates that are near a major metropolitan area.

3E is currently experiencing enormous growth and is looking for someone to drive our lead generation and business development.  You will have an opportunity to build your sales team and organically grow the department.

  • Provide effective leadership for the day-to-day operations of the sales development team that achieves new logo lead and opportunity conversion goals.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to facilitate effective communication.
  • Perform monthly prospecting reviews with the team.
  • Support sales development forecasting and data analysis activities.
  • Conduct quarterly and annual performance reviews.
  • Support personnel activities such as hiring and training.
  • Establish business strategies and processes that will result in a highly integrated sales team that is motivated to achieve aggressive growth goals.
  • Participate in prospect calls with team members to provide coaching and feedback.  This includes reinforcing the ‘Challenger Sales’ strategies. 
  • Coordinate with other departments within the organization to improve the performance and productivity of the sales development team.

Qualifications

  • Responsible for developing and managing a dedicated sales development team focused on outbound prospecting for new logo leads for the field sales team to pursue.
  • The position will include new logo lead volume and opportunity conversion goals for the team to achieve on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis. 
  • Advanced skills utilizing the Microsoft Office Suite as well proficiency with Salesforce.com.
  • Strong knowledge of the sales enablement technologies and processes required to support the sales development role.
  • Employee may be based out of the Carlsbad, Bethesda or Canton office.  Alternatively, the position may be located remotely within North America.
  • Excellent coaching, team building and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to function effectively within a high-performance team environment.
  • Experienced in interviewing, selecting and training new hires for the sales development team.
  • Responsible for preparing and analyzing sales development production and forecasting data.
  • Ability to mentor the sales development team utilizing the ‘The Challenger Sales’ process or a similar sales methodology.
  • Exhibits a high degree of flexibility in adapting to a rapidly changing business environment.
  • Minimum of 3 years of direct experience establishing and managing a sales development team.
