We are seeking highly talented scrum masters and agile project managers to join our PMO.  We are implementing the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) in our organization and seek passionate team members to help us lead the change.

Job Description

  • Lead agile teams to successfully meet project objectives.
  • Manage complex cross-team project initiatives.
  • Facilitate agile ceremonies (such as standups, retrospectives, backlog grooming and planning sessions) to support the creation of project deliverables
  • Model, mentor, and coach agile best practices to improve productivity and ensure operational excellence
  • Coordinate resource needs across organizational boundaries
  • Guide agile teams through a SDLC
  • Ensure project work adheres to established standards and project governance requirements
  • Work with a Product Manager and customers to clarify project scope and priority
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and expectations
  • Report and communicate the progress of agile teams to stakeholders
  • Remove roadblocks from the agile team to facilitate rapid delivery
  • Clearly identify, document, communicate and mitigate risks to project success

Qualifications

  • BA/BS in business or technical field or equivalent work-related experience and training
  • 6+ years relevant project management experience.  Experience in an agile software development environment is highly desired.
  • An agile project management certification (such as SAFe Certified Scrum Master (SSM), SAFe Certified Agilist (SA), PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP), or Certified Scrum Master (CSM)) is required.  A PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is desirable.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, common diagramming tools (e.g. Visio, Lucidchart), and project/issue management tools (e.g. Jira)
  • Understanding of project management and software development lifecycles
  • Ability to manage integration, scope, schedule, cost, quality, resources, communication, risks, procurement, and stakeholders as it relates to projects

This job is eligible for a flexible hybrid working model (with some work from home and some work from the office). As such, applicants should be located within a reasonable distance of the Verisk office in Lehi, UT in order to attend in-person meetings and events when required for the role.
