Job Description

As a key member of our consulting team, you will work collaboratively to help deliver a range of projects for global clients. Depending on the specific skills and experience of the successful candidate, this is likely to include:

  • Geopolitical risk / scenario analysis and implications for our corporate clients.
  • Political risk impacts on investment opportunities and broader business and financial landscapes.
  • Policy and regulatory analysis.
  • Security analysis and acute disruption advisory.
  • Political + ESG investment due diligence.
  • Design and delivery of bespoke political risk monitoring tools (quantitative and qualitative).

You will primarily work with a wide range of business functions within global multinationals, particular those in energy, mining, financial services and fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), as well as the large number of additional industries we support through our discipline-focused service areas.
In delivering projects you will draw on your own knowledge and skills, the specialist knowledge of colleagues in our consulting, research and analytics teams, Verisk Maplecroft’s proprietary ESG+P datasets, and our capabilities in data science and software engineering. We also have numerous internal and external strategic partners that we regularly work with and a growing number of external independent associates that we occasionally rely on for expert support.

Qualifications

  • At least eight years of relevant professional experience, ideally within an advisory and/or industry capacity.
  • A track record of hands on, practical experience of managing and/or working on geopolitical risk projects for corporate clients or in an in-house capacity.
  • Excellent communications skills particularly presenting to live / remote audiences, preparing engaging slide decks and written analysis.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience using various analytical frameworks and techniques such as gap assessment, benchmarking, scenario analysis, horizon scanning, risk/impact assessment, etc.
  • Experience working with statistical analysis/analytic teams to provide quantitative and qualitative solutions for clients.
  • Ability and experience in developing innovative solutions to solve problems / address business needs within our various solution areas.
  • Experience and enthusiasm for business development activities, including proactive engagement with potential clients and reactive scoping and proposal writing.
  • Ability to work flexibly, independently and within multi-disciplinary, international teams
