Job Description

Verisk 3E est à la recherche d'un spécialiste de projet technique (VBA/Access) pour joindre l'équipe à Montréal.  Dans ce rôle, vous développerez des outils internes pour aider à automatiser et extraire des données sur le Web.  Une solide expérience de VBA et d'Access est souhaitable.  Ce rôle se déroulera dans un environnement hybride, avec 3 jours au bureau et 2 jours à distance. 

Développement de l'automatisation :

  • Développer des robots pour l'extraction de données et de fichiers à partir du web avec une application tierce.
  • Maintenir et améliorer un outil de supervision développé en interne en Access avec VBA et SQL pour la gestion des robots.
  • Développer des stratégies orientées objet pour améliorer les standards et protocoles des robots, afin d'assurer la qualité de l'extraction web et le respect des exigences des serveurs web externes.

Analyse des processus :

  • Étudier les processus actuels et évaluer leur efficacité afin d'apporter des améliorations dans le but d'accroître la valeur pour les actionnaires.
  • Travailler avec les départements et fournir des conseils sur l'amélioration de la méthodologie qui peut être appliquée à d'autres départements et à de nouvelles idées.
  • Fournir de la documentation pour réaliser des présentations à travers l'organisation.

Support et gestion :

  • Soutenir la gestion des produits dans le développement d'outils nouveaux et innovants, en assurant la satisfaction des clients.
  • Fournir des mises à jour sur le département, y compris la création et la présentation formelle, à la direction générale, selon les besoins.
  • Travailler avec les techniciens de recherche sur le Web pour fournir des conseils sur les priorités et gérer la charge de travail.

Verisk 3E is looking for a Technical Project Specialist (VBA/Access) to join the team in Montreal.  In this role, you will be developing internal tools to help automate and scrape data from the web.  Strong VBA and Access experience is desirable.  This role will work in a hybrid environment with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote. 

Automation Development:

  • Develop robots for data and file mining from the web with a third application party.
  • Maintain and enhance a supervision tool develop internally in Access with VBA and SQL for the management of the robots.
  • Develop object-oriented strategies to improve the standards\protocols of the robots to ensure web extraction quality and respect of the external web servers’ requirements.

Process Analysis:

  • Study current processes and evaluate the efficiency to provide enhancement to be performed in the objective of increasing the shareholder value.
  • Work with departments and provide guidance on methodology improvement that can be applied related to other departments and new ideas.
  • Provide documentation to achieve presentations through the organization.

Support and Management:

  • Support Product Management in the development of new and innovative tools, providing customer satisfaction.
  • Provide department updates, including creating and delivering formal presentations, to executive leadership as needed.
  • Work with the web search technicians to provide guidance on priorities and manage the workload.

Qualifications

  • Expérience de développement avec VBA, JAVA ou C++ fortement souhaitée.
  • Connaissance de SQL fortement souhaitée
