Job Description

The mission of the Consulting and Client Service Group is to build relationships based on detailed knowledge of Verisk’s extreme event models and products, and to meet the needs of our clients as they understand their risk and manage their business. This role is part of a group focused on climate, mortgage & related reporting activities to facilitate interactions between the insurance industry and state departments of insurance, federal governments, international regulators, rating agencies and others. As the reporting space continues to expand into climate disclosures, the assessment of more lines of business and increasing model education will continue to be on the forefront of changes across the industry.

Main Responsibilities

  • Proactively develop strong relationships with regulatory, rating agency and client contacts to facilitate model education, understand regulatory requirements and changes in reporting across the industry.
  • Assist in project management activities across client services, sales, communications and research and ensure modeling teams are coordinated. Leads specific projects in areas of expertise as needed.
  • Support model and product change management efforts when model updates or new features are introduced in our software. Participate in internal and special projects as required.
  • Provide input to our internal teams regarding the evolution of our products based on client feedback and your internal usage of our products. Remain engaged with the internal teams through feature design, development, and release.
  • Represent Verisk in a range of forums including internal and external conferences, industry events and client meetings.

Qualifications

  • Self-motivated and quick learner, with good organization and time management skills; can work independently
  • Strong presentation and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills, quantitative and problem-solving ability
  • Ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders
  • Knowledge of the global insurance and reinsurance industry; experience in an analytical function such as actuarial or catastrophe modelling a plus
  • Experience using and managing large datasets. SQL, ArcGIS, R experience a plus
