Job Description

Verisk 3E is looking for a Regulatory Research Analyst IV to join the team in Bethesda. MD, although fully remote candidates will be considered in the US.

In this role, you will write and research on a variety of EHS topics focused on the United States and Canada.

  • Maintain and manage Verisk 3E’s US & Canada regulatory content across various web-based product lines (including monitoring, researching and analyzing chemical, workplace, EHS and food related regulations).
  • Write regulatory news articles and overviews
  • Provide regulatory support for clients (including answering clients’ inquiries, conducting quality assurance and expert review of regulatory data, etc.) and provide regulatory and analytical support for consulting projects.
  • Work with various departments at Verisk 3E in ensuring proper regulatory information dissemination in various companies’ products line and services.
  • Write and edit reports. Present webinars and or presentations at conferences on regulatory developments in the jurisdiction.

 

Qualifications

  • B.A./ B.S. (in Environmental Science, Political Science or International Affairs) is a must (Master’s degree or J.D. highly preferred)
  • US Legal/ regulatory/ legislative background required (familiarity with US 21 CFR, 29 CFR, 40 CFR a must; US States chemicals related regulatory knowledge is a plus)
  • 6 - 8 years prior EHS/ Chemicals related regulatory research experience
  • Product safety and/ or general chemicals regulatory compliance experience preferred
  • Excellent analytical, research and writing skills
  • Excellent organizational skills required
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
  • US Legal/ legislative or chemicals background preferred
  • US FDA related experience is a plus
  • Canada Legal/ legislative and/or chemicals & food background (familiarity with Canadian Chemical Management ) highly preferred
  • Strong computer application technical skills (e.g. excel, powerpoint, etc.) highly preferred
  • Experience working both independently and as part of multi-disciplinary teams
  • Able to work independently with a high degree of efficiency with little supervisory oversight
  • Able to identify issue/ problem and provide answer/ solution (problem-solving thinking required)
