Job Description

The Cash Management Analyst is a new position for LCI and will be heavily involved in growing the Full Service Asset Management function of the company.  This client-facing role involves working directly with incoming payments on clients’ account portfolios and managing the deposit and application of each payment in a deadline-driven fashion.  This role will be responsible for accurate client trust accounting, including reconciliation of transactions to deposits and ensuring that client reporting is accurate.  The person in this role will “own” the growth and maturation of this aspect of the business, being involved with automation projects and implementing 3rd party technology tools to enhance the lockbox operations.

This role is tailored to a self-starter “utility player” with career aspirations, gaining high visibility and making a direct impact on the business.

The skill set for this role requires a strong quantitative and background with the ability to manipulate large transaction datasets and synthesize into concise client-facing reports. A process-oriented mind with a drive to build, enhance and manage is required.

Specific Responsibilities include:
•    Overseeing day to day cash management operations of mail processing, payment processing and client trust accounting, helping LCI to maintain accurate and complete remittances for customer accounts;
•    Monitoring and processing daily cash deposits, accurately applying payments to consumer accounts and following up on discrepancies as needed;
•    Process mid-month, end of month and ad-hoc client remittance reports.
•    Regular initiation of funding requests from clients, bankruptcy trustees and corporate Treasury Management;
•    Preparing wire transfer requests across client trust accounts and LCI operating accounts;
•    Monitoring bank account activity and initiating overpayment refunds and other reconciling adjustments; 
•    Working with LCI’s corporate F&A team to apply wire receipts and reconcile client accounts receivable;
•    Improving and automating current collections process using internally and externally developed tools;
•    Performing data integrity checks on all deposit and transactions and client reporting;
•    Enhancing, implementing, and developing new policies and procedures that improve efficiency in the cash management and client accounting functions;
•    Performing client trust account reconciliation and maintain client banking matrices;
•    Assisting the Operations team with document filing tasks as needed as volumes increase periodically;
•    Communicating with U.S. Bankruptcy Trustees and other representatives of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, as needed;
•    Preparing ad-hoc analyses as requested;
•    Develop a good understanding of business operations the bankruptcy portfolio servicing industry, along with an appreciation for high-quality customer service.
 

Qualifications

•    Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of two (2) years of related experience with progressive responsibilities;
•    Excellent analytical skills, decision making and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
•    Intermediate MS Excel skills including use of multi-argument functions, Pivot tables, query functions and graphs/charts required;
•    Ability to work independently and autonomously
•    Ability to prioritize and organize work driven by specific deadlines 
•    Strong verbal and written communication skills;
•    An intelligent and articulate individual who can relate to people at all levels of an organization and possesses excellent communication skills;
