Job Description

Arium, part of AIR Worldwide, is looking for a highly passionate analytical mind to join the team in our Boston or London office. Arium provides new and cutting-edge modeling capabilities of complex commercial liability accumulation risks to the global insurance and reinsurance community.

We are looking to expand our team as we take the product to the next level. The successful candidate will be given real responsibility to gather requirements and manage the delivery of products to serve Arium. You will be responsible for communicating and developing Arium’s vision of the market and product roadmap. Merging business experience with the product, ideally, on product definition, creating feature overviews, and helping with the design, development, and quality of product, the successful individual will be key to developing use cases within this fast-evolving new market.

 

About the Day to Day Responsibilities of the Role

  • Serve as AIR’s evangelist for Arium products/features, by assessing client’s needs, and competitive offerings to develop product requirements and support a long-term product roadmap.
  • Help create a long-term vision and strategy for Arium
  • Be a connector and facilitator between internal teams that span software development, data science, customer success, marketing, and business development and translate between business and product
  • Serve as an advocate for Arium’s products/features to clients as well as internal stakeholders
  • Work directly with internal/external stakeholders and external customers to understand client needs, workflows, product needs and become the voice of the customer (internal and external)
  • Perform market research and review the competitive landscape to identify product gaps as well as opportunities to improve product position in the market and identify strategic partners
  • Keep on top of technology and other industry trends relating to liability in the insurance market
  • Participate in user conferences, seminars, webinars and client meetings
  • Advocate for product management best practices and process improvements
  • Manage and produce product documentation library
    •  Manage and produce software requirement documentation (specification)
    •  Manage and produce client-facing software feature documentation

Qualifications

  • Proven track record of managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Have demonstrated business experience in the insurance industry, preferably in liability or specialty-related areas, a blend of business and technical skills, and the ability to manage features from start to finish.
  • Strong analytical skills, quantitative and problem-solving ability;
  • Experience in stochastic modeling and/or Machine Learning is a plus.
  • Product management experience particularly in a SaaS context a plus.
  • Good presentation and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated and quick learner, with good organization and time management skills; can work independently
  • Good knowledge of the global insurance and reinsurance industry, with 5-10 years in an analytical function such as actuarial or cat modeling.
  • Ideally, a focus on casualty/liability/specialty lines.
