As a Senior DevOps Engineer at Verisk 3DVI, you will be an embedded member of the development team who is the subject matter expert on how and when to utilize the tools built and deployed by DevOps. You will be influential in creating the technologies that enhance the end user experience. You will have to “think big” in terms of scalability of the resources needed to process a vast amount of information. Essential functions in this position include:

• Ability to efficiently analyze and comprehend new or unfamiliar technologies and ideas.
• Development of tools and systems to support the Software Engineering teams in interesting areas like MLOps.
• Ensure that new products and services can be easily deployed in a standardized fashion.
• Continuous environment monitoring for application health, performance and security.
• Collaborate with process teams to meet varying project goals and increase effectiveness of the software processes.
• Ensure processes allow for products to exceed their SLAs
• Provide regular updates to executive leadership on roadmap, progress and challenges in collaboration with Software engineers.
• Be involved in budgeting for cloud spend and other devops tooling
• Additional duties as assigned.

What You Need to be Successful (Minimum Qualifications)

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proficient with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and cloud platforms.
• Familiar with Linux, Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, git.
• Experience in automation and the development of automation tools and Infrastructure as Code.
• Strong background in continuous integration and deployment methodologies.

What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

• Experience with digital imagery processing, mobile, desktop and web development is helpful.
• Proficient with Python, bash, Powershell.

You will be working very closely with the teams in the US and other international locations, therefore you MUST be proficient in conversational and written English.
