Job Description

G2 is looking for an experienced Product Manager to manage the development, enhancements and growth of our fraud solutions in the merchant acquiring space. This role involves a unique blend of strategic and operational responsibilities.  The “client” is both internal (operations analysts) and external (G2 acquiring clients).  

 

The ideal candidate should have strong experience building and driving new products and services as well as maintaining and supporting existing. A background in the merchant acquiring space or Fintech is a highly desired. 

Key Responsibilities:

•        Be the voice of the customer (internal and external) and oversee the process to proactively identify key product features to enhance current offerings.  In addition, use VOC to proactively identify new products and services that fit well within the acquiring vertical.

•        Conduct competitive research, combine with VOC to prioritize roadmap that exceeds client expectations and effectively puts G2 ahead of the competition.

•        Manage the ongoing product roadmap and own all aspects of developing, initiating, implementing and supporting new products and services.

•        Prepare and present financial business cases to support capital investment

•        Work with marketing to effectively “sell” G2’s core products and services to the acquiring space.

•        Provide ongoing support of acquiring products to both sales and client services teams

Qualifications

•        5+ years’ experience in product management with a wide variety of product development and management practice. 

•        Technical background is preferred, primarily to understand software engineering methods and challenges

•        Experience in the fintech or merchant acquiring industry, specifically risk management

•        Familiarity with end-to-end ecommerce merchant processing

•        Experience in SaaS-based technology or information businesses is highly desired with preferred experience in merchant services, risk management, and/or SMBs

•        Experience working with in-house development and external partners

•        Ability to think analytically and creatively with overall practicality for the business

•        Strong written, presentation and verbal communication skills

•        Bias for action and the ability to manage through ambiguity

•        4-year degree from an accredited university
