Job Description

We currently have the opportunity to add a leader on our People Leadership and Culture team – the team that is responsible for creating the people strategy that actualizes our values and supports our mission. Hybrid work arrangements available.

The Human Resources Manager leads our company’s talent acquisition, talent management and employee engagement activities. With over 200 employees and a growing pipeline of new candidates, the PowerAdvocate PLC team is always busy. This is a growth position which would assume more Human Resources responsibilities as the company and the individual grows.  

Qualifications

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

In addition to the following, other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

  • Own the full-cycle recruitment process for mid- and senior-level positions globally, from identifying staffing needs with hiring managers, to sourcing, and to extending candidate offers
  • Manage the day-to-day activities of the Human Resources Associate who owns our Co-op/Internship and Campus Recruiting programs, the Co-op/Internship experience and PLC Operations and reporting duties
  • Manage on-boarding of all new hires
  • Advise managers and leaders on employee relations issues, compensation decisions, performance discussions, and other, related strategies
  • Coordinate company-wide events and other employee engagement activities
  • Provide support to the Head of Human Resources with projects and assignments as needed, including but not limited to diversity initiatives, training, employee engagement, PLC analytics and policies/compliance
  • Participate in relevant meetings and programs with our parent company and affiliates at Verisk Analytics

  • Excellent time/project management skills; driven by results, attention to details and hitting deadlines
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 8+ years in Human Resources as HR Manager/HR Generalist (with some exposure to strategic HR initiatives); International recruiting experience a plus
  • Bachelor’s Degree and relevant work experience
  • Strong recruiting, employee relations and talent management experience
  • Sound knowledge of employment law and other government compliance regulations
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software; experience with multiple HR systems and collaboration tools is an advantage 
  • SHRM, HRCI or AIHR certification a plus
