• Lead the architecture and help design, develop, and optimize the current system architecture on AWS.
• Bring in best practices in designing of complex analytical framework using spark.
• Create and update Design Specs and reference Architecture documents to enable acceleration in solution development.
• Participate in testing and peer code reviews to identify any bugs and ensure reusability of code.
• Automate the deployment of the solutions by using shell scripts.
• Work with IT change Management group to promote the developed code/scripts from non-production to production environments.
• Work with Architecture team (Application/Security/Infrastructure/Data) to get their approval on the designed solutions.

• BE/B.Tech in Computer Science from an accredited college or university.
• 11+ years of extensive experience in design, build and deployment of Spark- applications.
• Must have worked on optimizing spark jobs and cluster sizing for varied size and data sources.
• Ability to write abstracted, reusable code components.
• Able to quickly adapt and learn.
• Able to jump into an ambiguous situation and able to take the lead.
• Able to communicate and coordinate across various teams.
• Java Spark – Spark and Spark SQL (PySpark would be good to have)
• Must understand and must have worked on optimizing spark job/application (Spark SQL and Spark Core)
• Exposure to statistics and analytical modelling will be an added advantage.
• AWS - EMR, IAM roles, S3, Glue Catalog, Step function, serverless/lambda
• Hadoop ecosystem - Hive, HDFS, HBase
• OpenStack Other Software & Tools - Docker, GitLab – good to have
• Linux/Unix - Shell scripting + SQL (RDBMS)
