Job Description

About the role:

Verisk is seeking a Help Desk Specialist/Engineer to provide first and second-level desktop and application support to our employees. In this role, you'll collaborate across time zones with teammates in the USA, UK, EU, and Asia to solve issues and implement new systems while ensuring the delivery of high-quality, professional service.

You will be responsible for deploying new hardware and software, managing application updates, applying security configurations, as well as helping maintain hardware and software licensing inventory.

The Service Desk operates between the hours of 8am and 6pm on business days.  Some flexibility in working hours to meet this requirement is expected.

This role is based in our Louisville, KY office.

  • Experience in a technical support role and familiarity with ticket-based systems.
  • Experience with:
    • Apple MacOS
    • Microsoft Active Directory
    • Microsoft Windows 10
    • Virtual private networks
  • Experience with the following systems and concepts:
    • Jamf Macintosh device management
    • Microsoft 365 administration
    • Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager
    • Microsoft Intune
    • Microsoft PowerShell
    • ServiceNow ticket system
    • TCP/IP, subnets, and vLANs
    • Tiered development environments (development, QA, production)
    • Virtualization (VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, Amazon WorkSpaces)
