Job Description

Verisk Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) and product teams work with complex and continually changing regulatory obligations in multiple jurisdictions, ongoing customer requests and lack of access to updated global chemical regulatory data. Creating and maintaining current and compliant Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) and labels is a challenging and resource intensive task. To overcome these challenges, Verisk 3E™ offers 3E ERD – formerly SAP® EHS Regulatory Documentation (SAP ERD).

3E ERD is a cloud-based SDS authoring solution for the creation and updating of client-specific SDSs for 140+ countries in 40+ languages. With 3E ERD you can choose the level of support you need to manage substance data, raw (supplier) material data and SDS data and documents. 3E ERD provides an easy way to track changing regulations and keep SDSs current.

We are looking for a talented and experienced Software QA Analyst in Kraków who can learn our existing/new applications quickly while contributing greatly to improving quality through continuous validation and verification. This candidate will work closely with local software team members in Kraków as well as remote stakeholders/QA team members to plan, implement and run testing Verisk 3E application(s) as needed.

Principal Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Participate in Verisk 3E solution testing to validate new features, new enhancements and required upgrades through:
  • Participating in all Agile Scrum ceremonies such as Sprint planning, Daily standup, Sprint Review, Sprint Retrospective and Backlog grooming
  • Validating requirements
  • Writing Feature/Smoke/Regression/E2E/Exploratory/API test plans and test cases
  • Setting up test environment
  • Performing Feature/Smoke/Regression/E2E/Exploratory/API testing
  • Capturing test results in Jira and Confluence
  • Reporting issues in Jira defects (bug tracking)
  • Performing defect fix validation
  • Documenting all test work products in shared drive, Atlassian Jira and Confluence
  • Work closely with local and remote application developers, product owners, application users, product managers, stake holders and internal/external customers, to ensure the delivered application functionality/interface meets all requirements with high quality.
  • Be a member of global QA team and work under the supervision of the QA Manager located in California.
  • Follow closely the defined QA process and procedures and work remotely with other test team members.
  • Expected and willing to work some off/after-hours when needed in order to interact with other stakeholders in North America.
  • May involve in using one of the existing API/Web/Mobile Test Automation solutions/stacks to automate smoke, regression, E2E, API test cases.

 

Qualifications

  • 3 years of work experience testing Cloud and/or Enterprise and/or Web and/or Mobile applications and their corresponding APIs.
  • 3 years of work experience in software quality assurance (validation and verification) in the context of Agile Scrum SDLC methodology, functional and non-functional testing, acceptance testing, regression testing, integration testing, API testing, system testing, E2E testing, smoke testing and exploratory testing.  Work experience in planning, developing, and executing test plans and test cases and prioritized risk management testing. Work experience using test case management tools, defect management tools and agile software management tools.
  • Preferred familiarity with one of the Web/Mobile/API-based Test Automation solutions to automate, debug and run smoke/regression/E2E/functional/API test scripts.
  • Work experience with Jira, Confluence and TestRail or similar tools.
  • Preferred familiarity with Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) compliance and information management services
  • Familiar with business rules and business logic of various web services to perform testing a RESTful API and associated XML, HTML or JSON data formats.
  • Detail-oriented, determined to solve problems and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Adaptable, analytical, independent-minded and have good time management skill.
  • Organized, customer oriented, dedicated and have good reporting skill.
  • Degree or certification in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent is required.
