We are looking for a Python Engineer to join our back-end development team. The role will require you to design and build new software, establish technical requirements and maintain and improve the current product suite. It offers a variety of technical tasks that arise through the building of APIs for both internal and external clients, developing the supporting systems and managing data flow across the content delivery system.
You should be a good communicator and have the ability to work with other engineers in the team as well as being comfortable liaising directly with colleagues in the wider company to understand requirements and business needs.
The role will be based in Bath, UK with flexibility for remote working in addition to flexible hours and substantial employee benefits.
We’re 8/12 on Joels Scale and aiming for higher!
We are looking for someone with:
- 3 + years experience working with Python
- Experience working with Django
- Strong working knowledge of web applications, processes and supporting networks and systems
- Experience working with restful APIs
- Enjoys problem solving and working collaboratively with their peers
- Able to plan and manage their own time effectively
- Participate in innovating and improving the development process
Exposure to the following technical skills/ approaches would also be useful however not required:
- MySQL, git, TDD, Celery, Ansible, Docker, Linux, Flask, Agile, Nginx, Gunicorn
