JOB TITLE: Software Engineer I

LOCATION: Downtown Boston

SUMMARY: PowerAdvocate is seeking a dynamic individual with strong fundamentals and intangibles to join a high-performing full-stack development team. • Languages: JavaScript (React, Node), TypeScript, Java, Kotlin

• Databases: Oracle, MySQL, DynamoDB, MemSQL, AWS RedShift

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• 0-3 years of experience with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Math, or Engineering; or a master’s degree with an equivalent course of studies in languages/programs noted below
• Experience with Java, Node.js development, AWS technologies, and/or front-end development (JavaScript or React)
• Understanding of the fundamentals of design patterns and testing best practices, 
• The ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills
• The desire to work in an AGILE environment with a focus on pair programming
• Willingness to discuss obstacles, find creative solutions, and take initiative
• The ability to receive and give both constructive and encouragement feedback
