Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join AIR’s growing Software Development team. Candidate gets an opportunity to be a key contributor to the growth of the company's product suite. We are also interested in your communications skills, your attention to detail and the various attributes that affect how you work and how you relate to the people you work with. In short, we look for people with a passion for achievement, integrity and the desire to make things happen.

Responsibilities, but not limited to:

  • Primary responsibility is to come up with technical design of new features in line with the existing architecture standards of the product but not limited to. Develop technical interfaces, specifications, architecture and write clean and scalable code using .NET programming languages. Will be provided an opportunity to work on database development using SQL server as and when it is required.    
  • You will learn and understand the existing Product architecture and database design of AIR products and also take care of maintenance of the features that the team owns
  • Contribute to the development, which may span across multiple products with middleware components in a smart client, SOA architecture using C#, WPF, WCF, Entity Framework, LINQ and design pattern- MVVM
  • You will develop unit tests for newly implemented components in MS Visual Studio
  • Proactively contribute to software performance optimizations and continuous improvements to code quality, robustness, and development processes
  • Develop data models and stored procedures by following best practices in view of performance, scalability and security
  • Create database objects such as tables, views, stored procedures, UDFs etc.     
  • Performance tuning of all tiers of the application
  • Prepare design documentations and specifications for new features
  • Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in developing commercial-grade .NET applications using C# as the programming language with SQL server as the data base
  • Should have good understanding of .NET framework
  • Should have good experience on WCF, LINQ and Entity Framework
  • Should have strong experience in using design patterns
  • Should be able to come up with a technical design of new features inline with the existing architecture standards of the product. Develop technical interfaces, specifications and architecture.
  • OOP/Object/Component-oriented design and programming
  • Multi-threading on Windows platform
  • Should be familiar with version controlling packages like TFS/VSS
  • Good working experience and knowledge of SQL Server 2012 and above with proficiency in writing complex queries and stored procedures in an application centric environment
  • Be aware of potential blocking, deadlocking and write code to avoid those situations.
  • Should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Write clean and scalable code using .NET programming languages
  • Use and adapt existing product technologies
  • Co-ordinate with software professionals in the team in handling project related work and other requirements
  • Experience working with any code refactoring tools such as Resharper
  • Unit testing frameworks for C#/.NET

Optional-- Experience with the following is a plus:

  • Knowledge of REST APIs
  • Experience working with AWS is a plus
  • Experience working with Infragistics controls
  • Agile/Scrum methodologies
