Job Description

PowerAdvocate's headquarter office is in Boston, MA. This employee can work remotely from anywhere in the U.S.

This is a leadership role on our Client Services (consulting) team and reports to the President of PowerAdvocate. There is also dotted line reporting to the Executive Vice President of Consulting at Wood Mackenzie (a subsidiary of Verisk), who has responsibility for coordination of all consulting activities within the energy vertical of Verisk.  
This role involves direct responsibility for developing and executing strategies to meet and exceed PowerAdvocate’s services revenue and profit goals.  In order to meet our growth goals -- in addition to selling and delivering our existing suite of services-led solutions (see https://w3.poweradvocate.com/client-services/) --  PowerAdvocate is investing  in emerging data-driven solutions, many of which will be services-led.  This role will involve developing, marketing and selling emerging and existing services-led data-driven solutions to our energy customers in close coordination with the Sales and Marketing team, the Utility Growth Solutions Sales Team, the Market Intelligence team, the Energy Intelligence Group, and the Client Services delivery team.  The leader is responsible for execution and delivery by the Client Services team, performance management, staffing, hiring, and other administrative responsibilities related to the Client Services team.  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

•    Grow Client Services revenue and EBITDA to meet or exceed annual goals 
•    Report to PowerAdvocate President and on a dotted-line basis to the Executive Vice President of Consulting at Wood Mackenzie on strategies to deliver, and on progress towards, Client Services revenue and EBITDA goals
•    Coordinate across PowerAdvocate sales, data and services teams to develop, market and sell of emerging and existing services-led, data-driven solutions
•    Interface directly with clients through a consultative sales and marketing approach 
•    Interface with Verisk affiliates, including Wood Mackenzie, to identify, develop and sell joint solutions 
•    Contribute to thought leadership for services solutions for current and future customers 
•    Lead professional and skills development efforts of consulting staff 
•    Train and develop Client Services team members on the development, marketing, and sales of data-driven solutions
•    Oversee other Client Services leaders on all execution, delivery and administrative (staffing/recruiting) matters.
 

Qualifications

The Senior Vice President and Managing Director must be a well-qualified candidate with ample skills in the following areas:
•    Consulting-driven solution selling skills.  Demonstrated track record of developing and successfully selling large, high-impact solutions that deliver measurable business results 
•    Project delivery skills.  Demonstrated ability leading large teams and managing consulting projects leveraging data and analytics to drive measurable business results
•    Change management skills.  Demonstrated ability to drive transformational projects and systematically manage change in client organizations; ability to drive change in flat, cross-functional or multi-disciplinary environments rather than through formal authority  
•    Communication Skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate (verbal and written) with senior client representatives 1) to understand the needs and challenges of the organization and 2) to communicate how PowerAdvocate’s new or existing combined data and services solutions can uniquely address such needs and challenges. This leader must also possess the necessary interaction skills that may help them to gain adequate knowledge about the client organization's way of working. 
•    Problem Solving and Creativity; Collaboration with Others.  PowerAdvocate is generally hired to solve the client organization's complicated issues leveraging proprietary data assets. Thus, this leader must use effective problem-solving skills to provide insightful solutions and be able to collaborate with sales, data, product and services teams in developing, marketing and selling the solutions.
•    Consulting Domain Expertise.  Expertise in supply chain and related solutions with a demonstrated track record of innovation and client service 
•    Thought leadership.  History of managing or executing deeply analytical and data-driven change programs; history of innovating in the use of analytical techniques to drive business change 
•    Executive leadership.  Demonstrated ability to maintain executive relationships over sustained periods   
•    Management expertise.  Demonstrated ability to manage high-performing teams with high morale 

The basic educational requirement includes a bachelor's degree in management, operations, economics, data analytics, or any other relevant field. Candidates possessing a post-graduate degree in a relevant subject area are generally preferred.  The candidate must also possess a minimum of ten years of professional experience in consulting, data analytics and/or management fields.
