Job Description

We’re looking for a self-starter to join Verisk’s event strategy team and assist with bringing the Verisk story to life through creative and innovative event experiences that reach our customers, employees and investors.

The Event Senior Specialist frequently collaborates with event marketers and Business Unit stakeholders across the company, as well as with the Procurement, Properties, Sales and broader Marketing teams. The role supports the Global Corporate Events team and reports up through the Chief Marketing Officer.

The right candidate is passionate about event strategy, highly organized, takes initiative and embraces the opportunity to execute new enterprise event strategies, process and procedures.

  • Supports the day-to-day processes and execution of Verisk’s event approach across Industry, Verisk Hosted and Employee event
  • Liaison to all employees across Verisk where they will establish and implement an enterprise event process and procedures, event strategy and key messages
  • Responsible for global implementation and enforcement of comprehensive event processes and procedures
  • Overall contributor to key event goal and objectives as well as the specific business impact to the organization
  • Assist in defining the strategy of each specific event, in collaboration with marketing and BU as well as measuring outcomes. Responsible for managing the success metrics for all events. You will need to craft proposal and/or recaps templates that organizes data, facts and provides insights appropriately for the internal stakeholders
  • In collaboration with team, help determine the requirements and source a preferred vendor for an event platform and properties/exhibit house
  • Will manage day to day relationship with properties/exhibit house
  • Research industry best practices and innovative ideas that we can incorporate into our own events
  • Explore and effectively navigate the Verisk organization, both people and information and then connect the dots to put it all into action. This role advocates for the best customer experience across the in-person and online event touchpoints where you will be required to create the strategy on the best experience for targeted customers    
  • Manage multiple projects with multiple people at once on a deadline and quickly adapt to changing priorities
  • This role requires to work both with all levels at Verisk where you will need to have the ability to effectively communicate ideas, deadlines and strategy

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related area or equivalent work experience
  • Results-oriented individual with 3 to 6 years of experience in a fast-paced Marketing, Business Development and/or events-related experience
  • Possess a very customer-focused attitude and enthusiasm for creating world-class experiences
  • Demonstrated initiative and creativity
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment and to effectively manage and execute multiple priorities with minimal supervision
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills to foster strategic business relationships and communicate with senior level executives 
  • Ability to operate independently, as well as key contributor to a strong team environment
  • Ability to work overtime and irregular hours as needed to support client events
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational, analytical skills
