Job Description

Can you lead the business discussions and communicate value propositions to partners and clients about building and using cyber risk data and models? As Director of Cyber Data, you will be responsible to develop and drive the scope, execution and launch of multiple cyber datasets. You will bring a customer focus to the complex process of building and releasing cyber datasets and models.

·       Be a leader and drive the coordination of the release and acceptance of the cyber dataset with large cross functional groups.
·       Engage clients and consistently bring client focus to a process that is multi year in nature.
·       Work with key stakeholders to manage the goals, scope and launch of the model
·       Work with diverse teams composed of some of the brightest minds in the industry

The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in the cybersecurity industry with a strong data analytics and technology related background, a blend of business and techno-functional skills, and the ability to define a vision and make it a reality.

About the Day to Day Responsibilities of the Role:

You will:

·       Develop a comprehensive strategy evaluating various cybersecurity vendors and developing a data matrix

·       Engage with external partners regularly to develop new and unique sources of cybersecurity data

·       Evaluate early stage companies and their business opportunities

·       Coordinate across multiple internal teams, including Product Management, Business Development, Client Services and Research

·       Represent Verisk Cyber as a domain expert in various internal and external venues

.       Working with the modeling team on building out the science aspect of the models

 

Qualifications

About You and How You Can Excel in This Role:


·       BS Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other science or technical field (Master’s degree preferred)
·       8 years’ related experience in cybersecurity/data science industry
·       Prior hands on experience working with data and/or business analysis
PREFERENCES
·       Prior experience in management and/or technology consulting
·       Prior exposure to customer facing environments as in product management, pre-sales, implementation services, consulting etc.
 

Travel:

·     Upto 25% travel required
