Job Description


 July 2020 – Dec 2020 

Become a member of AIR's growing Software Product Development team, and help develop new commercial grade, desktop automation products for the Insurance industry using Microsoft technologies. Your help is needed to provide our clients with sophisticated modeling and analytical products to analyze the impact of catastrophic events like hurricanes, earthquakes and terrorist attacks and estimate the replacement value of residential and commercial properties. You will join the product application group that delivers presentation, business and data-tier logic for our catastrophic products.

What you will learn:

·        How to implementation and test commercial analytical applications

·        How to work as part of a team to investigate, analyze and implement new technologies and tools and techniques in existing commercial applications

·        How to write great applications using the following:

·        C#, C++

·        SQL Server 2014/2016, AWS, Azure

·        XML

·        TFS

·        Work in Agile SCRUM teams

 What we need you to already have:

·        Solid software engineering skills

·        Excellent verbal and written communication skills

·        Exhibit strong problem solving skills

·        Excellent listening skills

·        Enthusiasm, energy and creativeness

·        Technical work experience in some of the following:

·        .NET Framework, C#, ADO.NET • Desktop or web application work flow • XML/XSLT/XPath, JavaScript, SQL Server, Oracle or mySQL

·        Exhibits strong problem solving skills, Excellent listening skills, Enthusiasm, energy and creativeness

·        Passion for his/her work and works well within a development team

·        Ability to learn and apply new tools

·        Enrolled in BS/MS degree program in Computer/Software Engineering with a 3.3/4.0 GPA
