Job Description

Vesseltracker.com is the #1 AIS provider for maritime professionals who want to optimize their operations and find new business opportunities. We have hundreds of German and international clients and are currently looking for a Client Success Manager as we continue to expand our business and product offerings.

Key tasks in this position include:

  • Taking ownership of customer issues and following them through to resolution
  • Clarifying and prioritizing customer enquiries for our technical team to address
  • Managing the renewal of subscriptions to our online accounts
  • Selling online accounts to new inbound customers who contact us via email or telephone
  • Maintaining accurate records and document all customer service activities in our internal CRM tools

Additional daily tasks include:

  • Answering incoming email and telephone inquiries and routing them to the correct team member for a response
  • Supporting sales team in key account negotiations eg. research and setting up trials
  • Organizing client and office events eg. Christmas party, harbour boat tours, etc.

Qualifications

  • Native or near-native German (spoken and written)
  • Fluent and confident English (spoken and written)
  • Experience in sales, retail, promotions or other work with regular customer contact
  • A high degree of organization, self-motivation and drive, and a willingness to learn
  • A problem-solving mindset and ability to work within a team to find a solution to customer issues
  • An interest in how technology can be used to improve the maritime industry

Preferred, but not required:

  • Maritime industry experience
  • Additional language skills, especially major world languages
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
