Job Description

We are looking for an energetic and proactive Marketing Manager to join our small team in Houston. This is a key position within the team and an excellent opportunity for a driven and enthusiastic marketing professional to learn and develop within a high-growth B2B risk advisory business. We’re looking for a versatile team-player, who is prepared to handle varied tasks (from high-level strategic input to the day-to-date operational level) and strive for operational effectiveness. The right candidate will have a chance to set up a regional marketing presence for future team growth in the region.

Purpose of role

This role will play a key part in the business transformation at Verisk Maplecroft in the region, supporting the growing business in Americas. The marketing manager will work with the rest of the team in the UK to help fine-tune regional plans and compelling value propositions for the region and the different sectors we sell to, as well as to help develop go-to-market plans to achieve commercial results.

There are two key elements of the role: co-developing the global go-to-market strategy and plans for our solutions and delivering integrated campaigns to target our key prospect segments. The right candidate would be working effectively with the rest of the marketing/PR, sales and design teams to achieve the right brand voice that will resonate with the regional audiences. The manager will report directly to the Head of Marketing.

The ideal person should be:

  • Passionate about KPI metrics, engagement and effectiveness across all channels of the marketing mix, constantly monitoring campaigns performance
  • A strong communicator – easily switching from presentations for senior executives to conversations with analysts and peers
  • Passionate about being part of a small team
  • Be agile and know how to prioritise effectively
  • Be a fluent Spanish speaker



  • Marketing background (BA or MA) and minimum 5-years of experience working within international organisation
  • Preferred interest and knowledge in international affairs, including global politics and sustainability
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced and changing environment
  • Ability to work independently and flexibly
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • A team-player with strong interpersonal skills
  • Strategic, market and client focused, ideally experienced in marketing data-based solutions
  • Creative, data-driven, professional, who is detail-oriented and can manage multiple projects at the same time
  • Experience analysing customer needs and trends, competitive intelligence and market dynamics
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively aligning with business goals and strategic direction
  • Project management skills
  • Experience in Salesforce, Pardot and Google Analytics would be desirable


  • Manage and own our marketing CSR system – be champion of good-quality data
  • Segmenting marketing audiences
  • Help make regional marketing plans, including regional and cultural nuances
  • Plan and delivery marketing campaigns, including content email campaigns, events (external and internal), social media outreach
  • Marketing collateral creation
  • Support sales team in marketing with external 3rd parties (our commercial partners). This includes regular communications, support in choosing the right content, email advertising, events
  • Working with other Verisk sister companies to maximise our marketing exposure and mutual opportunities in the region
