Job Description

​​​Successful people at AIR come from many different backgrounds, with a wide range of perspectives and experiences. While meeting the position requirements is essential, we’re also interested in your ability to communicate, collaborate and influence ideas within and outside of your immediate team. The key responsibilities on this role include, but not limited to:

  • Develop architecture specification for software components in collaboration with other architecture team members
  • Design and develop software features while assisting other development team members with their respective design/development tasks
  • Write unit tests with Microsoft Visual Studio Team System
  • Collaborate with developers across teams
  • Proactively contribute to software performance optimizations and continuous improvements to code quality, robustness, and development processes
  • Mentor junior developers
  • Work with product managers on clarification of requirements and provide technical solutions and options to them
  • We have a heavy concentration of highly educated and motivated professionals, so we require a BS required, MS degree preferred, in Computer Science or a related engineering field, from reputable institution
  • We are a fast-paced analytical software services company, so the position calls for an individual with 7-8 years of intensive automation framework development experience 
  • Programming experience in developing with Visual Studios (preferable), C#.NET, C+, Java, Python, C VB/VBA/VBScript. Practcal experience with designing automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver, Protractor, Leapwork, CodedUI etc.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of solid SQL scripting experience, understanding the concept of relational databases, experience in using SQL query language to build and use queries for testing and data preparation purposes
  • Experience designing and implementing an object-oriented automation framework
  • Superior scripting skills with tools like Python, R, Perl or VB (Experience with Windows PowerShell a plus)
  • Hands-on experience with Behavior Driven Development techniques (Gherkin) and test automation tools (Silk4Net, MSTest, VSTest, Selenium etc.)
  • Practical experience driving automation within Agile/Scrum methodology, DevOps environment and Continuous Integration frameworks such as TFS, Azure, AWS Docker, Jenkins uDeploy, SonarQube, etc.
  • Automating workflow and process flows using CI/CD tools, provide application support, development, and maintenance of a portfolio of automation and productivity applications, define process and implement in tooling to enable efficient IT and business

Qualifications

Required: Must have the following expertise:

  • 10+ years of commercial-grade software development
  • 5+ years of C#/.Net development
  • Extensive experience in Object -oriented design and programming
  • Fluency in C#/.Net/.Net Core/ASP.NET/JavaScript/Web API/WPF/WCF/C++/ T-SQL programming on Microsoft platform
  • Strong knowledge of Service-Oriented and distributed n-tier architectural patterns and styles
  • Support automated testing process by scoping and independently implementing or leading framework extension projects                  
  • Implement and maintain production grade automated performance and scalability tools    
  • Lead development of test harnesses to drastically improve productivity and reduce repetitive manual procedure by functional testers
  • Ability to see the big picture/system understanding with capability/potential to dive into low level details to support problem isolation       
Optional: Experience with the following is a plus:
  • Amazon Web Services
  • Unit testing frameworks for C#/.NET
  • Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Code reviews, pair programming
  • SQL Server™/T-SQL/ADO.NET/ORM
  • Software build configuration

Education and Training 
  • B.S. in CS or Software Engineering, or equivalent; M.S. preferred.
