Team Profile

Our Corporate Financial Systems team is looking for a ERP Specialist for the company’s International Finance Hub located in Edinburgh.

Main Responsibilities

 ·     Supervise your team to make sure the month/year end closings are completed without any issues.

·     Manage all day-to-day tasks of the team and ensure the SLAs agreed upon with the business are met.

·     Supervise an international team of subject matter experts for each of the functional areas they own, and partner closely with development managers, test teams, and other leaders in the organization.

·     Maintain the ongoing reliability, performance, management, and support of Verisk’s Enterprise systems and training users on these ERP systems as needed.

·     Provide vision, leadership and management for developing, implementing and servicing ERP systems.

·     Conduct discovery meetings with stakeholders to understand business requirements and oversee the technical and functional deployment processes.

·     Provide direction, planning and prioritization on IT projects.

·     Manage projects to ensure utilization of sound implementation, integration and development methodologies.

·     Lead Global Systems Strategy development including solution design, competitive costing, commercial proposition integration and business case development for HR and financial enterprise systems.

·     Demonstrates day-to-day leadership and guidance to business users and delivering system enhancements at regular interval.

·     Apply knowledge of existing ERP application to design, implement and integrate member companies' internal systems with Verisk’s corporate PeopleSoft system.

·     Ensuring the taxation applications are updated per the direction from government in terms of sales-tax/VAT/withholding and other payroll taxes.

·     Create new standard reports for business units and corporate use making sure they can access only the provisioned data.

·     Keep current with new technologies and trends. Review and evaluate the capabilities of existing systems and recommend solutions for replacing or improving ineffective systems or processes. Identify and implement best practices across the ERP organization.

·     Maintain and setup PeopleSoft’s multicurrency processes, which includes revaluation, translation, intercompany transactions, and consolidation within multiple legal entity setup.

·     Conduct user trainings on a global scale.

·     Other special projects and duties as assigned
 

Qualifications

Knowledge & Experience

 

·     Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Accounting, Finance or similar.

·     Solid managing, monitoring, and designing experience of enterprise wide ERP systems.

·     Interacts with and support the requirements from senior executives and other stakeholders.

·     In depth Knowledge of PeopleSoft modules such as Customer Contracts, Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Asset Management, Purchasing, and General Ledger, Time and Labor, Workforce Administration, Base Benefits and NA Payroll.

·     Experience with large scale implementation projects.

·     Experience of line management of technical teams

·     Significant consulting environment experience - working with multiple clients.

·     Significant experience gathering requirements, developing/designing specifications and planning implementations.

·     Ability to create and analyze financial reports in multicurrency environment for both local and statutory reporting.

·     Programming background a plus.

·     Team player.

·     Self-starter, driven and willing to take ownership and initiative.
