Job Description

This intern will be part of our Insurance Services Office (ISO) - Claims Partners business unit.

As a Computer Vision Intern, you will work with a team to process digital imagery. You will design and implement practical solutions based on AI and computer vision approaches to solve complex automation problems such as:

  • Object recognition
  • Scene understanding
  • Image classification
  • Image segmentation
  • Manipulation detection
  • Multimodal learning
  • Etc.

Candidates should have a strong background in computer vision, deep learning applied to image data, and/or morphological image analysis or other imaging science disciplines.

This position is located within a Data Science Center of Excellence supplying BI and Analytics for a suite of SaaS products. After hiring, you will work with a small team of Data Scientists to solve challenging automation problems. You will work under the supervision of a project lead with significant image analytics experience to interrogate and prepare data, train models, provide robust accuracy analysis and integrate your solutions into customer-facing products.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience (prefer Masters in progress)
  • Experience with deep learning frameworks such as Caffe, PyTorch, CNTK, MXNet, or TensorFlow
  • Ability to work with a cross-functional team of Data Scientists, engineers, project managers, and others
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment
  • One or more years of Image Science or Computer Vision related work experience desired
  • Cloud computing skills, especially AWS a plus
  • Experience using unsupervised learning for data interrogation and dataset creation desired
  • Experience with large datasets both in terms of data preparation and accelerated learning via cuda and cudnn a plus
