Job Description

LCI has a Payment Tracking process in house to manage all checks received from the Trustee at the Bankruptcy Court.  LCI files the Proof of Claim on behalf of our clients and the debtor will make payments to the Trustee. The Trustee will send that check to LCI and LCI’s responsibility is to intake the checks, track the amounts/payments, and distribute the cash to their respective recipients.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze checks/letters and to identify how to take proper action on what is received
  • Manual data entry of check information (i.e. Check #, Check amount, Name on the check…etc.) into an excel spreadsheet
  • High attention to detail and ability to keep track/manage hundreds of checks every month
  • Initial review/screen of emails and mails for objection and deficiency
  • Assist in receipt audits
  • Support other tasks outside of check processing such as stuffing envelopes and other ad-hoc projects

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of experience working in data analysis role or equivalent educational background
  • Experience using Excel
  • Ability to think critically and make recommendations based on the business data needs
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to adapt and excel in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment 
  • The following experience is not required, but a plus:

Schedule: Monday – Friday (2pm-6pm) – hours may change depending on the business needs.  Overall schedule can be flexible and can discuss with the Manager.

Part time position (20-25 hours a week)
