Job Description

  • Take responsibility for maintaining, enhancing and extending complex data sets that drive the casualty risk model.
  • Source, cross-check and integrate new data sources using analytical software packages.
  • Liaise with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Engage with client teams to provide advice on how to best use the data.
  • Update and improve technical documents describing data processes for sourcing and updating data.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience with data analysis gained either in an academic or professional environment
  • Experience in using SQL and programming languages including R or Python.
  • Initiative and investigative skills
  • Communicates clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Accurate attention to detail
  • Ability to sense check and identify trends or patterns in data
  •  Responds positively to requests for help or support and works well with others to complete tasks

Arium, part of AIR Worldwide, is looking for a highly passionate, motivated individual to join the team in our London office. Arium is an innovative model to quantify and model casualty / liability risks for the global insurance and reinsurance market. The role would initially focus on extending and enhancing the data sets that drive the tool, and actively participate in driving the data road map. The ideal candidate will be comfortable interrogating and understanding complex sets of data and translating them into real business insights for our clients.
