Job Description

  • Serve as liaison between HRIS/Corporate Systems and Benefits Team.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day administration, analytics, and reporting of benefits as well as participating subsidiary companies.
  • Audit and reconcile benefits vendor related error reports.
  • Process and maintain health, dental, vision, basic life, voluntary life insurance, 401(k) plan transactions, and dependent changes.
  • Manage Employee Benefits email box—providing tier 1 level support.
  • Assist in administering charitable gifts and employee anniversary programs.
  • Enter benefit related information into HRIS database according to established procedures.
  • Provide newly benefits eligible employees with benefits orientation sessions and instruct on enrollment.
  • Develop a communication strategy to inform employees about benefits package, enrollment, deductions and cost—including management of the Benefits intranet site.
  • Create reports i.e.; Benefit, ACA, Pre-tax/Post Tax deductions, for Finance and HR Departments as needed.
  • Serve as liaison between Leave Administration platform and Benefits Team/HRBP/Payroll.
  • Assist with filing of Workers Comp claims.
  • Assist with special projects as needed.

 

NECESSARY SKILLS:

  • Proven ability to gain credibility at all levels quickly; excellent relationship management skills.
  • Experience working effectively as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and proactively contributing ideas, views and recommendations for best practices and process improvement.
  • Ability to work independently with a high-level of accuracy and strong attention to detail


 

Qualifications

  • referred but not required: Experience administering Benefits on People Soft
     
  • A minimum of 4 to 5 years of experience in benefits (Health & Welfare, Leave Administration, 401(k) and/or Pension plans).
  • Knowledge of Employee benefits laws and regulations
  • Strong Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PPT etc.), and HRIS skills
  • Demonstrates excellent analytical skills, and applies functional benefits knowledge to solve problems and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Looks for process efficiencies and streamlines processes from beginning to end with little oversight
  • Communicates clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects, and stays focused on achieving goals
  • Establishes and maintains cooperative working relationships with others
