Job Description

​​​As Verisk continues its strong growth trajectory, we are in search of a charismatic leader to drive marketing strategy for some of our most innovative and industry-leading solutions. The Director of Marketing Strategy is responsible for shaping the strategic direction of several insurance products, using data-driven insights to fuel important business decisions and helping the marketing team reach its full potential by executing multi-channel marketing experiences.

We need someone who is creative, results-driven and ambitious, yet thrives in an environment where they can cultivate collaborative relationships with other members in marketing, product management, sales, and operations on a daily basis.

  • Lead marketing strategy to drive revenue generation, specifically focused on improving the buying experience for our customers and launching new solutions to the market
  • Responsible for the successful tactical execution of marketing plans for the entire team
  • Demonstrate innovation and expertise by contributing to buyer enablement frameworks and methodologies
  • Identify and/or develop new opportunities for improving holistic messaging and marketing efforts across BU solutions sets, products, and campaigns
  • Proactively provide strategic guidance and form strong collaborative alliances with product and sales leaders that will provide best-in-class B2B marketing and optimizes revenue generation
  • Work closely with the sales enablement team to ensure sales reps have all necessary education, messaging, and sales-specific support materials/communications that is harmonized with sales process 
  • Track the effectiveness of team marketing initiatives, overall influence, and resource allocation
  • Create regular report of competitive intelligence, and market research and insights
  • Supervise the project management process, ensure focus on ROI and quality of efforts
  • Create monthly report of marketing analytics for internal reporting
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts for the entire marketing team
  • Develop staff by advising on industry best practices for engaging with a digital audience with a specific focus on optimizing the buyer’s journey

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of business experience in Marketing, Buyer Enablement, Advertising or Technology Consulting
  • Degree in marketing, business, speech/communication or integrated marketing communications: MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of integrated marketing and CRM disciplines (including primary research, customer segmentation, targeting, direct marketing, customer care)
  • Proven leadership ability with strong internal business partner relationship skills including communicating regularly with executives
  • Curiosity and desire to stay on top of digital marketing trends and automation technology
  • Experience with Salesforce, marketing automation, buyer intent, web personalization, interactive marketing, and other marketing technologies
  • Experience with project collaboration tools such as Workfront or Wrike is a plus
  • Experience with Gartner and/or Sirius Decisions marketing methodologies is a plus
  • Commercial and/or Personal Lines P&C insurance or financial services industry experience preferred
