Atmospheric and Environmental Research (AER) is actively seeking a mid-level systems administrator to support our Space Weather R&D team in Albuquerque, NM. As a member of the data center support team you will be the primary interface between the software development team and the data center, providing the infrastructure tools for facilitating all aspects of the software development life cycle. The work will be performed at the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) at Kirtland Air Force Base.

The specialized duties and responsibilities of this position include:

•           Providing systems support for developer tools
•           Configuring and maintaining continuous integration
•           Scripting and automating tests
•           Deployment on standard server architectures, virtual machines, and cloud infrastructure
•           Lightweight full-stack development

Required

-          Experience supporting a Linux development environment

-          Experience with Linux shell scripting

-          Experience configuring GitLab including CI/CD

-          Experience creating Virtual Machines

-          Experience managing database instances

-          Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance

-          Ability to obtain Security+ certification within 90 days of hire

-          M.S. Degree plus 2 years experience or B.S. Degree plus 4 years experience.

Preferred

-          Experience configuring JIRA and Confluence 

-          Experience with AWS Cloud configuration and deployment

-          Experience with Python and JSON

-          Experience with RESTful Web Services

-          Experience developing lightweight UIs

-          Security+ certification
