Job Description

Responsibilities include:

 

  • Responsible for the day-to-day receiving, loading, processing and validating data received from various sources and media from clients
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining large data warehouse(s) which is a final product after the data validation is complete
  • Prepares and executes a monthly plan to receive, load, process and validate the data and create an error free data warehouse
  • Develops, maintains and establishes operational specifications and set data quality standards for the validation processes considering content and information flow
  • Ensures all data issues are identified and tracked, reported on and resolved in a timely manner
  • Ensures all modifications to the source code follows the Data Operations Change Control Policy
  • Understands business issues, data challenges including weaknesses and recommends process improvement
  • Ensures data is clean and credible to support strategic decision making
  • Prepares weekly status updates on data processing and validation process so that issues can be identified early in the process
  • Identifies and escalates roadblocks or issues in a timely manner that may need senior management involvement to be resolved and/or help senior management to decide on alternative solutions to these issues
  • Schedules and executes regular data reconciliations with banks to ensure the quality and consistency of the data received is representative of the bank’s portfolio
  • Manages and tracks ad hoc requests from the client delivery group
  • Manages individuals and sub-teams and processes for smooth operations of the data validation team
  • Responsible for evaluating and reviewing the performances of the team members in a fair and unbiased manner
  • Provides team leadership and ensures group tasks are appropriately assigned and completed according to an established schedule

 

 

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in:
    • Engineering (all disciplines)
    • Business Analytics
    • Computer Science / Computer Engineering
    • Mathematics / Statistics / Sciences 
    • Finance / Economics 
  • 5+ years of database management
  • Technical knowledge in T-SQL or PL/SQL programming languages
  • Excellent database skills
  • Excellent problem solving, quantitative and analytical skills
  • In depth technical knowledge and ability to learn new technologies
  • Project management, scheduling and planning 
  • Team player, excellent communication skills
  • Must be able to interact with senior management and collect requirements
  • Must be able to lead a team, use judgment and operate under ambiguity
  • Motivated, self-starter, strong work ethic
