Job Requirements and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent experience.
• AWS Certification.
• 10+ years in the IT industry.
• 5+ years of experience being the go to person to resolve time sensitive critical issues and handling the pressure that is associated with it.
• 5+ years of troubleshooting complex problems and creating a plan of possible solutions to resolve the problem.
• 5+ years of work experience in a heavily used, highly available, 24x7 enterprise environment.
• Extensive experience working in AWS and with CloudFormation.
• Extensive experience installing, configuring, tuning, and supporting both Linux and Windows servers.
• Extensive experience in server hardware, load balancers, as well as common protocols such as TCP/IP, HTTP, and SSL.
• Extensive experience in using scripting languages for the automation of day-to-day tasks.
• Extensive experience in monitoring application performance and server health with tools such as New Relic, Dynatrace, App Dynamics, Nagios, or Splunk ITSI.
• Ability to work with other operations architects and engineers as well as development teams.
• Ability to interpret and apply complex technical information/processes to solve difficult problems.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to write and verbally communicate technical information.
• Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
• Experience working in team environment using Kanban or Scrum.
• Experience using and managing Chef.
• Desire and ability to learn new technologies to become the subject matter expert.
