Job Description

Verisk | AI combines the energy and focus of a start-up with Verisk’s large and unique data assets and deep domain expertise. It draws on the company’s massive volumes of data to help Verisk businesses create new inventions, technology and products in domains from political risk analysis, to economic forecasting to geospatial data solutions among others.

We’re looking for highly talented and motivated candidates passionate about doing industrial R&D, building and deploying AI and ML solutions for real-world problems. The areas of application are Verisk-wide and hence diverse. They include, but are not limited to, computer vision, document understanding, natural language processing, speech understanding, modeling of large-scale natural and health disasters, political risk analysis etc.

Verisk | AI has several short-term programs where students get a opportunity to work on industrial R&D projects in a team of experienced engineers and scientists. Internships are short-duration stints – 3/6/9 months open to undergraduate as well as postgraduate students. Residencies are one-year program, annually renewable, for fresh graduates with a BS, MS or equivalent degrees. Post-docs are annually renewable one-/two-year stints for candidates with a PhD or equivalent degree.

As a member of our AI team, you’ll have the opportunity to learn how to conduct high-impact research and to publish and disseminate those research findings at top-tier , technical conferences and workshops. You will learn to build robust AI & ML systems solving real-world solutions meeting requirements from business clients and learn to help deliver and deploy them. You will be exposed to corporate culture and environment at the location of your employment and will learn the skills needed to interact with local as well as international business clients.

Qualifications

  • BS/ MS/ Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline
  • 2 years of educational experience including coursework in AI/ ML and relevant application areas as mentioned above.
  • 1 year of practical, hands-on, experience in university/ industry working on projects in the above areas
  • Publications in relevant top-tier conferences or journals (strongly preferred).
  • Software engineering skills in relevant programming languages including (not limited to) C/ C++, Python, etc.
