Job Description

This is a hands-on technical management position in Model Validation tasked with defining and implementing a robust validation strategy for stochastic models.

  • Lead a strong technical team mandated to deliver software models that span multiple products and service offerings with aggressive timelines
  • Perform advanced statistical and mathematical risk analytics tasks to validate model outputs
  • Ensure that products meet requirements for accuracy and with explicit and or implicit validation of scientific/ financial algorithms
  • Lead efforts to develop, document, and implement applicable quality assurance processes and procedures to provide more effective methods within the group to deliver products with exacting standards of fidelity
  • Review requirements, manage resource planning, identify risks and implement mitigation strategies
  • Create, implement, maintain, and enhance test plans and test methodologies that ensure exhaustive validation of all assigned software model systems to ensure and compliance with specifications usability requirements
  • Review requirements, manage resource planning, identify risks and implement mitigation strategies
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to improve overall product quality, robustness and reliability by emphasizing defect prevention throughout the development process
  • Provide coaching and guidance to the team & implement best practices
  • Plan, organize, and monitor the execution of the work assignments for the team
  • Conduct gGap analysis and Resolution resolution for Test test Coverage coverage and Test test efficiency based on feedback

Qualifications

  • Strong graduate degree in Engineering, Science or Mathematics, with proven analytical or computing research experience. Civil/Structural Engineering a plus.
  • A minimum experience of 8 years,Minimum of 12 - 15 years of experience preferably from with a computational analytics company and strong proficiency in statistical or analytical software tools.
  • 4+ years of hands-on managerial experience that includes excellent people management, conflict resolution and talent development
  • Proven Excellent people management, problem-solving talent acquisition and talent development skills is highly desirable
  • Demonstrated track record of leading delivery of multiple releases of enterprise software product is preferable
  • Client-focused attitude with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to clearly articulate complex technical issues to a diverse audience, is a must
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced proficiency with either statistical, mathematical software packages ; or generally with any analytical software --? Is this a must have or nice to have? I am thinking NICE to have. If you want to keep it, what specific experience are we asking for? R? Matlab? SAS? Let’s be explicit about it, also such as R, MATLAB or SAS is nice to have
  • Experience with validating numerical probabilistic models in engineering, sciences is an advantage
  • Programming skills to include but not limited to numerical, scientific and databases programming
  • Attention to detail and experience working in distributed and global teams with diverse cultural backgrounds
  • Experience in Agile development methodologies is a must
