Data Assistant- Corporate Analysis

Job Description

We are looking for a Data Assistant to join our Corporate Analysis team in Edinburgh on a fixed term basis of 12 months.  The Corporate Analysis team is responsible for maintaining and optimising company operational and financial data and global Upstream M&A data that is held in our data platform.    This is a great early career position for a candidate looking for a good grasp of the fundamentals of data management.

 

About you and how you can excel in this role

You are intrigued by the importance of data for business decision-making and want to work in a leading research, analytics and consultancy organisation. You have experience of using MS Office packages, and are numerate and curious. You may also have an interest in natural resources industries, but data is your passion. 

You are hardworking and inquisitive, known for your attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

You thrive working with others as well as independently to get things done as you learn.

 

About the role

This is a great opportunity where you will develop an understanding of our data tools, processes and analytics, which are used by our industry experts to deliver solutions to our clients. Working with an experienced team of data experts, you will support the maintenance of our data and systems. Your main focus will be data gathering, collation and formatting to the highest standards. You will also perform some administrative tasks.

This is a growth role, so you can expect career progression as you learn new technical skills and develop existing knowledge in a fascinating industry.
